Commonwealth Baton Relay

A small group of Mac Bay children were very lucky to hold and run with the Commonwealth Baton on Saturday as it came through Dunedin. We started at St Joseph School and ran to the new stadium. 2.7k with the baton that weighs 1.6kg!!!! It was lots of fun as we got to run on the road.... lots of cars tooting and waving in support. We also got to meet Rob Waddell, he was a key grinder and member of Team New Zealand in 2013 America’s Cup.
