This Wednesday is Technology day for Room 7. A chance for you to bring along a item from home to use/play at school. PLEASE ASK a parent before you bring something to school.
We will also be going for a swim so don't forget your TOGS!!!

Cross Country
Orlando tearing down the hill at the start of the cross country on Friday 6th December. A beautiful day to have a run in the sun. We had lots of students achieve their goals and finish with a smile :)
Erika Fairweather won the Yr 4/5/6 girls race taking home the trophy, Ariana Barr came in a very close 3rd.
Jamie LeComte used every little bit of energy to overtake Louis 5m from the finish line to finish 3rd in the boys Yr 4/5/6 race. Well done to all children :)

Commonwealth Baton Relay
A small group of Mac Bay children were very lucky to hold and run with the Commonwealth Baton on Saturday as it came through Dunedin. We started at St Joseph School and ran to the new stadium. 2.7k with the baton that weighs 1.6kg!!!!
It was lots of fun as we got to run on the road.... lots of cars tooting and waving in support. We also got to meet Rob Waddell, he was a key grinder and member of Team New Zealand in 2013 America’s Cup.

Pet Day
What a FUN day!!! It was great to see all the pets at school and the owners taking good care of them.

Athletics Day
Athletics Day was a awesome event where all children had a good time and achieved some great results. Portobello and Broad Bay schools joined us on the day. We had 21 children make it through to South Zone and 9 children make it through to Otago Champs.
